Complete the checklist with links to evidence—not just yes-or-no answers.
Ownership
- List every founder, contractor, and contributor.
- Confirm rights to the code, brand, content, domain, and data.
- Identify licenses, restrictions, and unresolved claims.
Product
- Record what works today and what does not.
- Capture the live URL, environments, stack, dependencies, and costs.
- Write the shortest path for a new owner to run the product.
Evidence
- Export revenue, traffic, user, and engagement evidence.
- Separate verified facts from founder estimates.
- Explain the source and date of every important metric.
Handoff
- Create setup, deployment, and operations notes.
- List accounts and assets that can be transferred.
- Define the support you can provide after closing.
Story
- Explain honestly why the project was shelved.
- Describe who the best next owner would be.
- Outline the most credible first 30 days after transfer.
Risks
- Disclose security, privacy, platform, and customer obligations.
- Identify unfinished work and known technical debt.
- Name any fact a reasonable buyer would want before offering.
